ADAM GARDNIR – Designer graduated VCA Production Design in 2003. Before studying Adam achieved consecutive CONDA nominations (City of Newcastle Drama Award ) for Best Design for A Cheery Soul and Escape . At the VCA Adam's work includes set designs for OzOpera's The Little Sweep , the drama school's Summerfolk, The Greeks and Pains of Youth and production designs for the short films Dishpig's Lament , The Hollow Men and Shocked . Since graduation designs have included the The Beggar's Opera (OzOpera), Beckett's Act Without Words , The Yellow Wallpaper (Store Room), The Breath of Life Australian Tour (Hit Productions), Nile Blue (Midsumma Festival), and the premier season of The Eisteddfod for which he received a Melbourne Green Room nomination for Best Design. In 2004 he had a three month trip visiting European Arts Festivals as winner of the VCA Dr. Ron Rosenove Travelling Scholarship and is currently Observing Designer for the Malthouse's major Melbourne Festival production, The Odyssey .
