The Architect and the Emperor of Assyria
The Architect and the Emperor of Assyria is the most enduring play by Spanish Absurdist playwright and artist Fernando Arrabal. After a plane crashes on a remote island, the lone survivor reinvents western civilization for the island's sole inhabitant. Created as a site specific show in a Melbourne bar, it has since played in theatres and bars.
